Choso and Yuji Itadori: Memories of Brotherhood
In the Shibuya Incident arc, Choso finally gets a chance to confront Yuji, the murderer of his two brothers, Eso and Kechizu.
During the Shibuya Incident arc, Choso seizes the opportunity to confront Yuji, the perpetrator behind the tragic deaths of his two brothers.
Choso dominates the fight, and toward the end, he is ready to kill Yuji. He wants Yuji to seek forgiveness from his departed brothers.
But Choso’s intention wavers as his resolve to kill Yuji is disrupted by an invasive collection of memories that had never occurred.
Meanwhile, Sukuna, who is witnessing the battle unfold, derides Yuji as worthless for succumbing to an ostensibly inferior fighter.
Suddenly, Choso is shown clutching his head as he lets out anguished cries.
Experiencing an intense headache, Choso hastily retreats from Yuji’s vicinity.
Gripped by harrowing recollections, Choso grapples with the haunting imagery of Yuji seated alongside Kechizu and Eso, as if they were part of one family.
Yuji and Choso's Relationship, Explained
Technically, Choso and Yuji are different beings. If Choso is a Cursed Womb: Death Painting, Yuji is a human.
Choso is a half-cursed spirit and half-human created by a sorcerer named Noritoshi Kamo.
But Noritoshi, who is the creator of Choso and the other Death Paintings, was actually Kenjaku, who was manipulating Noritoshi’s body.
Though much of his past remains hazy, Choso retains vivid memories of Kenjaku’s meddling during his birth.
Now coming to Yuji, he is Jin and Kaori Itadori’s son, and not much is known about Yuji’s family life.
However, the thing that binds Yuji and Choso is Kenjaku, and Kenjaku also plays a part in shaping Yuji’s story.
Only little information exists about Kaori, but fans know that Kenjaku seized control of her body following her demise.
It is interesting to note that Gege Akutami has never revealed if Kenjaku was around Kaori while she was pregnant with Yuji.
But with these memories flooding Choso’s consciousness, there is a high chance that Choso and Yuji are related to each other.
Moreover, Choso will eventually align himself with Yuji and accept him as his new younger brother.
