It seems like everyone has their own opinion about Sony taking Spider-Man away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, they're just getting ready to kill Tom Holland in their new Disney+ show The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Mackie and Stan were both in attendance at D23 Expo 2019 to promote their upcoming series. When Variety asked what fans can expect in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Mackie pointed to his co-star being able to help him make things exciting.
"Sebastian is a great guy. If all else fails we can just try and kill Tom Holland," he said, making Stan laugh and comment about how he's throwing the both of them down that river. Luckily, Mackie pointed out that they would always remember Holland although Spider-Man is no longer a part of the MCU.
"We will always have little Tom, right here. Right here little Tom," Mackie said, pointing to his heart. Stan then jumped in by singing Willie Nelson's Always On My Mind. "Love you, little Tom," Mackie said.
Marvel fans would remember that both Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes had a hilarious encounter with Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War. Although it's easy to see why Sam and Bucky aren't big fans of Peter, that doesn't mean that Mackie and Stan don't love the kid.
Spider-Man has been taken back by Sony after the studio failed to reach an agreement with Disney on how to proceed with the character's future features.
Mackie and Stan's new series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will air on Disney+ in Fall 2020.
