Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exclusive $100-million deal with Netflix may have come to an end, but the Sussexes have a new contract that extends their partnership with the streaming company — which may be a blow to the royal exiles.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to sign a first-look deal with the streamer when their current contract expires this September.
However, compared to their initial multimillion-dollar agreement, the new deal is reportedly much smaller.
What is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s New Deal with Netflix?

While Harry and Meghan’s old deal with Netflix will end later this year, more TV projects from the royal couple are expected soon.
However, their new contract is reportedly “much less” than their previous $100 million deal.
“It’s not much,” a source told Page Six. “It’s no risk for Netflix but saves them both reputationally.”
The couple’s company, Archewell Productions, and Netflix announced on Monday that they have agreed to a first-look deal, which requires them to present their ideas to Netflix first.
After that, the streaming giant will decide whether to acquire the rights to their projects.
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand,” the former actress wrote in a statement. “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, said the company looks forward to continuing to entertain their “members together.”
“Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere,” she said. “More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As Ever line consistently selling out in record time.”
Former U.S. President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama’s production company, Higher Ground, is said to have the same first-look deal with Netflix.
What are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Upcoming Projects on Netflix?

With the continuation of Harry and Meghan’s deal with Netflix, the 44-year-old entrepreneur’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, will continue to grow on the small screen.
With Love, Meghan Season 2 is also slated for release later this August, having been filmed back-to-back with Season 1.
The Suits alum will also release a special With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration episode in December, themed around “holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy” shared with “friends and family.”
In addition, they will release their self-produced short documentary titled Masaka Kids: A Rhythm Within later this year.
The feature follows a small orphanage in Uganda where “children transform hardship into joy, dancing their way toward healing, belonging, and the promise of a brighter future.”
Other upcoming projects from Archewell Productions on Netflix include the adaptation of Carley Fortune’s book, Meet Me at the Lake.
By the looks of it, viewers can expect to see more from the Sussexes on Netflix
