Hayden Christensen reprised the role of Anakin Skywalker in the first season of Ahsoka. The fan-favorite character showed up in various forms through World Between Worlds, Clone Wars-era flashback, hologram, and Force Ghost.
A lot of fans were delighted with the actor's return to the franchise once again following his appearance as Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi, especially since he was able to play Anakin in his Clone Wars incarnation.
Most notably, it marked the first time that Anakin and Ahsoka Tano were seen together in live-action after years of following their journey in the Clone Wars animated series.

Hayden Christensen Gushes Over His Return as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka
Speaking with Empire Magazine, Hayden Christensen opened up about his experience in the first season of Ahsoka and gushed over playing Anakin Skywalker in the Clone Wars era.
He revealed that filming scenes with Ahsoka Tano was a bucket list item for him after binge-watching the Clone Wars animated series.
"The scenes that I got to do as Anakin on Ahsoka was a bucket-list item I didn’t even know I had," he said.
"When I was getting ready to do Obi-Wan Kenobi, I started my Clone Wars deep-dive, and I loved it. I remember thinking, ‘Man, it would be so cool to see some of that in live action.’"
While he might be late with this adoration for the animated series, Christensen also shared that he was aware of what happened to his character in that era when he filmed the prequel trilogy.
He added, "That was described to me by George Lucas when we were doing Episode III, the things that were going on in between Episode II and III. So when Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau told me they wanted to explore some of that, I was so game. And I loved how it came out."
It is great to hear that Christensen had a wonderful experience doing the series, especially since his work on the prequel trilogy was infamously slammed by critics during the release of the films.
Now, fans today would say that they have a great appreciation for the actor's performance as Anakin and it was redeemed even further with his recent returns in the franchise.
Hopefully, he'll show up again in another Star Wars project in some capacity soon and give more fresh takes on the character that we've seen before.
