One of the storylines that Ahsoka has been exploring is Ahsoka Tano and the Rebels' gang search for Ezra Bridger, who has remained missing in the galaxy ever since the final episode of the animated series.

While they were initially able to find the map that could lead them to the mysterious distant galaxy where Ezra is presumably located, they were eventually thwarted by Morgan Elsbeth, Baylan Skoll, and Shin Hati, who took the map from them and traveled to Peridea through the Eye of Sion.

Sabine Wren also made a critical choice of joining the trio on their ship and becoming their prisoner after Baylan promised her that he would help find her missing friend.

After a successful hyperspace trip through the Eye of Sion, Morgan, Baylan, Shin, and an imprisoned Sabine arrived at Peridea where they were welcomed by a group of Nightsisters and congratulated the trio on their successful travel.

However, the Nightsisters decided to take Sabine into a cell after sensing that she had a "reek of a Jedi" which seemingly confirms that she is indeed Force-sensitive as they've teased.

Moments later, after Grand Admiral Thrawn made his arrival, the Nightsisters brought Sabine into him and, surprisingly, he allowed her to escape and find Ezra on the planet after learning Baylan's promise. She was also provided a wolf-like creature called Howler to assist her in her search.

Little did Sabine know that, after she left, Thrawn instructed Baylan and Shin to follow her and kill both Sabine and Ezra once they reunited.

As Sabine was out in the wilderness, she was ambushed by a bandit of nomads. Thankfully, her Mandalorian skills came into handy as she was able to defend herself and scare them off. Her Howler also finally warmed up to her as they continued their journey.

The Howler eventually picked up a smell as he started sniffing on a huge rock that turned out to be a crab-like creature called the Noti, who noticed the Rebellion symbol in Sabine's armor.

Sabine also noticed that the Noti was wearing the symbol which made her realize that Ezra probably gave it to the creature. More Notis popped up and they decided to lead Sabine and her Howler to the place where Ezra is potentially located.

They ended up arriving in a village where a community of Noti was residing and they all gave Sabine a friendly greeting.

Then, Sabine heard a familiar voice telling her, "I knew I could count on you." She turned around and there it was, Ezra Bridger, confirmed to be alive and is now sporting a beard as he was stuck on the planet for so long.

The two friends embraced tightly. Ezra asked Sabine how she was able to locate him, but she refused to share the story for that moment as she wanted to cherish their reunion first.

Obviously, there are a lot of things that Ezra needed to catch up on. While his friend finally finds him, he has to be briefed on what's about to come in their attempt to go back to the main galaxy, especially with Thrawn's comeback plan now set in motion at the same time.

Nevertheless, fans are happy to see Ezra again on the screen and find out that he's been okay after all this time. Now, let's wait and see where they will go next.
