Warning: If you haven't seen the premiere episode of Ahsoka, this article contains MAJOR SPOILERS so read at your own risk!
Many were expecting the premiere episode of Ahsoka to be a slow burn much like other shows but to everyone's delight, it already dropped major bombshells, including the confirmation surrounding an intriguing character's origin.
We're talking about Morgan Elsbeth who made her debut in The Mandalorian's second season. At the time, very little was known about the character (played by Diana Lee Inosanto) who served as the Magistrate of Calodan on the planet Corvus.
Now, Ahsoka's premiere episode made a shocking revelation about the villain's previously undisclosed ties.
Ahsoka Episode 1 Confirms Morgan Elsbeth's Descendants Are the Nightsisters
In The Mandalorian Season 2's "The Jedi" episode, it was revealed that Elsbeth was a close ally of Grand Admiral Thrawn which is why Ahsoka Tano has been in hot pursuit of her.
After defeating the Magistrate, she was sent to prison for trial but fast forward to Ahsoka's debut episode, Elsbeth managed to escape the clutches of the New Republic thanks to Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati.
During a conversation with the Force-wielding mercenaries, Elsbeth revealed that she is a descendant of the Nightsisters also known as Witches of Dathomir or Daughters of Dathomir.
For the uninitiated, the Nightsisters were a clan of magic users from the planet Dathomir who were able to perform their arcane magic through the Force.

Intriguingly, Elsbeth didn't confirm whether or not she's actually a Nightsister herself but considering she doesn't resemble one, the idea of her being just a descendant doesn't seem too farfetched for now.
The first two episodes of Ahsoka are now available to stream on Disney+.
