WandaVision is only one of the few good things that came out in Phase 4. With its killer casting and impressive storyline and execution, fans are longing to have more of the narrative. And their wishes have been granted in the form of the spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Aside from Kathryn Hahn, who will be the focus of the sequel and is set to reprise her role as the powerful witch Agatha Harkness, and Emma Caulfield Ford, who will make her comeback as Dottie Jones, another WandaVision star will mark her return in Coven of Chaos.
According to a report by Deadline, Debra Jo Rupp has been added to the cast of Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Rupp, who played Sharon Davis, aka Mrs. Hart, in WandaVision, is expected to reprise her role and show fans more flavor of her character. Aside from the two aforementioned, The ’70s Show star will also be joining Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, and Patti LuPone to help bring more elements of sorcery to the screen.
Despite already appearing in five episodes of WandaVision as Mrs. Hart, the exact part Rupp will play is being kept under wraps, similarly to the roles of the other stars who have been announced before her. With Marvel’s strict secret policy, not much information regarding the plot or the exact release date has been reported, but best believe the spin-off will hit Disney+ in the winter of 2023, so fans might have to wait a little longer.

In addition, Jac Schaeffer, who founded WandaVision, is back as an executive producer and writer for the spinoff. While it has been rumored that Gandja Monteiro would also serve as a director, Schaeffer is also scheduled to perform in at least one episode. It is anticipated that the sequel will be a nine-episode, which will be similar to WandaVision and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
According to a new report, Agatha: Coven of Chaos production has resumed after a winter break. Beginning on December 13 and halting on December 17, the filming picked up recently on January 3. The filming in Atlanta, Georgia, is expected to last five months and might wind up production by the end of May 2023. However, with Marvel’s shows getting delayed on Disney Plus as Echo suffers a big setback, Coven of Chaos is likely to get affected.
Rupp has yet to comment on the casting announcement but Ford made a statement in November, saying how exciting the ensemble will be. “The cast is so good. I start doing some stuff next week,” She added, “I know a little bit, but I can't say anything. I can't tell you what to expect, because that would reveal something. I know little, just enough to keep me in the right zone. I think it's all going to be really fun.”
