A highly-anticipated sequel to the successful A Quiet Place, the second film has to live up to the standards that have been set. A Quiet Place 2 not only has big shoes to fill but it also has to be a major box office hit given how much the full production is and so far, it has not disappointed anyone who is expecting to see the film in a few days.

Directed by John Krasinski who also starred in the first film, A Quiet Place 2 picks up where the first film ended. It continues to focus on the Abbott family who is now under the guidance of Evelyn alone. Their deaf daughter Regan discovered that the blind alien creatures hunting down Earth are vulnerable to what is called high-frequency audio feedback. After losing the head of their family, Evelyn has to raise her children on her own and keep them safe.

A Quiet Place 2 reportedly costs $61 million to produce, such a budget is considerably almost four times bigger than the first film which had a production budget of around $17-21 million. Given the success of the first film, the second installment is expected to live up to the standards set before and even precede it. Reportedly, a third film is also in the works making the franchise a trilogy.

Considering that there is an ongoing pandemic, it will surely make a difference with the terms the film would have to face but given how successful theaters have been in the past months, it is expected that the film would be a box office hit.

A Quiet Place 2 releases May 28, 2021, in theaters.
