Massimo and Laura will finally return this year in the sequel to 365 Days (Polish: 365 Dni), the 2020 Polish erotic film directed by Barbara BiaÅowÄ s and Tomasz Mandes, and based on the first novel of a trilogy by Blanka LipiÅska.
365 Days was released theatrically in Poland on February 7, 2020, and was later released on Netflix on June 2020, instantly becoming a global hit in the streaming platform despite the negative reviews. Now, fans are excited to watch the sequel, 365 Days: This Day, and the sequel after that, but when will the second film be released on Netflix and what will happen?
Fortunately, it's already confirmed that 365 Days: This Day will be released in 2022, so at least we know it will premiere on Netflix this year. 365 Days 3 is also in the works, so there's a lot to be excited about.
It's been almost two years since the first movie was released in Polish theaters and about a year-and-a-half since it debuted on Netflix, and it's about time for the sequel to arrive. Check out all the details for the highly-anticipated sequel below.
365 Days: This Day Release Date: When will it be released on Netflix?
Update: 365 Days: This Day is now available to stream on Netflix worldwide!
365 Days: This Day will be released on Netflix on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. The surprising release date was confirmed via a surprised announcement by Netflix, following the announcement of the official April release schedule.
Netflix already shared its list of movies and TV shows coming to its streaming service in April 2022, and it's included, so expect the movie to come out soon!
Netflix already released its slate of upcoming original movies coming in 2022, and sadly, 365 Days: This Day is not in the list, but that doesn't mean the film doesn't have a chance in premiering this year. It's probably not in the slate because it might not be considered as a Netflix original.
We will update this article once Netflix officially confirms a release date for 365 Days: This Day.
365 Days: This Day Plot: What will happen in the sequel?
The plot of the first 365 Days movie is based on the 365 Dni novel by Blanka LipiÅska, and the sequel movie will likely adapt the follow-up novel, This Day. The story of the first film features a young woman from Warsaw named Laura Biel (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) falling for a dominant Sicilian man named Don Massimo Torricelli (Michele Morrone), who imprisons and enforcers on her a time frame of 365 days for which to fall in love with him.
The first 365 Days movie ends in a cliffhanger. Laura mentions feeling bad but brushes off seeing a doctor. They discuss their upcoming wedding that her family is not allowed to attend, as she does not want them to find out what Massimo does. However, Massimo invites Olga to come as Laura's bridesmaid. When Olga visits, Laura reveals that she's pregnant, and Olga urges her to let Massimo know about her pregnancy. Laura calls Massimo and asks if they can talk after dinner.
Meanwhile, Mario receives a phone call from a Torricelli informant that a rival mafia family is about to murder Laura. Laura's car enters a tunnel but doesn't come out the other side. Mario rushes to find Massimo just as Laura's call goes out. After finding out what happened, Massimo breaks down, and a police car blocks the entrance of the tunnel.
Netflix already released an official synopsis for 365 Days: This Day, which you can read in the tweet below:
Without spoiling too much, if the story of 365 Days: This Day follows the sequel novel closely, a new character named Marcelo "Nacho" Matos (Simone Susinna) is introduced, and he seizes Laura, and she succumbs to Nacho as well, and that's when the drama escalates.
Massimo will also face another rival, his twin brother Adriano, who lives outside the criminal world and has no affinity with his brother.
Expect more steamy scenes and disturbing storylines in the sequel, but don't expect the sequels to fully adapt the novels 100%. During an interview with Oprahdaily, author Blanka LipiÅska said, "I wanted to give my fans more than what they'll find in the book and create something new".

365 Days: This Day Trailer: Has Netflix released a full trailer or teaser?
Netflix has already released an official trailer for 365 Days: This Day.
The trailer begins with Laura approaching Massimo in lingerie, and they engage in what appears to be verbal foreplay as each claim dominance over the other. Then we get to see a sries of scenes in which the movie's leads sport luxurious outfits in exotic locales, all while gesturing toward some sort of mafia intrigue that doubtlessly threatens to complicate their relationship. Mysterious newcomer Nacho seems to be someone whom Laura is building a level of intimacy, despite the fact that she doesn't completely know his true identity.
