Wizards of the Coast have started the official preview for Magic: The Gathering's upcoming set War of the Spark, and in addition to the epic new trailer and 16 cards revealed today, 3 more cards from the upcoming set have been revealed, and they include Invade the City, Bolas's Citadel, and Tibalt's Rager.

The new mechanic Amass lets you put +1+1 counters on an Army you control, and if you don't have an Army card yet, you get to make a 0/0 black creature token. That's a strong mechanic and it definitely fits the themes of War of the Spark's epic storyline.
Invade the City looks like a fun card to use in a spell-heavy deck. The artwork by Sung Choi looks fantastic too. Bolas's Citadel is surely a brewer's card that will probably see more play in Commander format than Standard. It's great with Aminatou. Tibalt's Rager might see play in aggressive red decks; its flavor text is also spicy as it references Judith's actual ability.
War of the Spark will be released on May 3, 2019. It's the third of a series of consecutive sets set in Ravnica and it will focus on the epic war between Nicol Bolas and the Gatewatch
