Zack Snyder's Justice League Will Have an Arc for Cyborg That Wasn't in Joss Whedon's Version

The "original" version of the Justice League that was released to theaters was so mediocre that it bombed at the box office. That's because it didn't use its characters in any meaningful way, with the Snyder Cut supposedly fixing a number of details not present in the Joss Whedon version. One of those things is a proper story arc for Cyborg, which was teased a bit during his intro but then got scrapped to make things...lighter?

Ray Fisher, the actor who portrayed Cyborg, revealed that the movie was originally going to have an arc where the superhero finds his humanity, Speaking with The Nice Cast, Fisher praised the script that Zack Snyder and Chris Terrio worked on, claiming that the character's journey was about loss, with a few symbolisms about being black, which must have been difficult for white people to pull off.

Honestly, Cyborg started out as someone with potential in the "original" movie but he never really got any form of resolution in the end. Say what you will about Zack Snyder and the Snyder Cut but it does seem like the director had some sort of plan for him. Now that the movie is coming out next year, we can finally know what it is.

Zack Snyder's Justice League will come to HBO Max next year.
