Zack Snyder Had Plans For A Justice League Trilogy Including Green Lanterns And Dark Seid

Zack Snyder might have left Justice League's production after the suicide of his daughter back in March 2017, but if the director had stayed on with the franchise, fans would probably have some epic sequels to the superhero team-up movie.

For the past few months, there's been a lot of talk about Justice League with reports saying that Snyder had completed an entirely different take on the film before Warner Brothers brought in Joss Whedon to work on the reshoots of the movie. Though these reports have yet to be fully confirmed, Snyder has been releasing bits and pieces of his version of the film.

Now, pop culture connoisseur and director Kevin Smith talks about Snyder's plans for the film on his podcast, saying that Synder had intricate plans for a three-part Justice League movie. Not only do we see Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), the Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) come together to battle Steppenwolf, but in Snyder's version of Justice League fans get to see Darkseid coming to earth to bring back his fallen general.

"Boom tube closes, and that's the end of the f***ing movie," said Smith. "With them all knowing there's something out there, and we have to go."

After that, the director would have turned Justice League into a cosmic movie with the League heading to space to attack Apokolips. Not only would this have brought on the introduction of the Green Lantern Corps, but also the New Gods of New Genesis.

The third film in Snyder's three-part Justice League movie would have Darkseid heading to the earth, bringing the "Knightmare" vision of Bruce Wayne's vision in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to a reality.

Green Lanterns? New Gods of New Genesis? Cosmic Battles?

If these details are proven to be true, then DC fans really have a lot to be disappointed over.

DC's next movie, Shazam! is set for release on April 5, 2019.
