There's a good chance that you don't have any recollection of Zachary Levi's role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it's quite understandable because the actor's brief stint in the Thor franchise as Fandral, one of the Warriors Three left virtually nothing to be desired. If the Shazam! actor had his way with things, however, he would have loved to make a mark in the Marvel realm but unfortunately, that just wasn't to be.
Appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Levi recalled his failed MCU stint and how the Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige lied to him about his role in Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok. Apparently, the actor was promised a more substantial arc for Fandral but it didn't quite happen.

The DC star also admitted that was initially hesitant about accepting the role because he was eyeing to play a different and much more significant character. Levi added: "I was like ‘Hey, listen I also don’t want this to preclude me from being able to be another character. If this is the only chip I get to play, then thanks, but I would rather wait for something else.'"
