Young Justice: Outsiders Has a Brand-New Aquaman

After many years of waiting, fans will finally be getting the third season of Young Justice next year in the DC Universe app. Called Young Justice: Outsiders, this will not only take place after the events of Young Justice: Invasion but is also going to deal with heavier topics that Cartoon Network wouldn't deal with. There will also be major changes made to the series, one of which was spoiled by this article's title.

So yeah, in Young Justice: Outsiders we will have a new Aquaman in Kaldur'ahm aka Aqualad. The first two seasons always treated this character fairly well, with the first having him lead the team and the second making him an undercover agent. Kaldur is still the son of Black Manta so it's going to be interesting seeing if they interact in the series.

Revealed by Entertainment Weekly, the one thing they didn't say is if Arthur Curry, the Aquaman we know and love, is dead or alive. We all knew that Kaldur was being groomed for the role but seeing him get it this early (or late? We weren't sure if we were going to get this season after all) is pretty unexpected.

Hopefully, Young Justice: Outsiders lives up to the hype and has the same qualities that the previous seasons had. There will be a lot of expectations for this show and we can only hope that they are matched. The first half of Young Justice: Outsiders will hit DC Universe in January, with the second half to follow in June.
