Wonder Woman Star Gal Gadot Thanks Zack Snyder For Believing In Her

Despite the many failings of Warner Brother's burgeoning superhero franchise, the DC Extended Universe has been praised for its great casting decisions. Fans loved most of the stars that Warner Brothers had cast as DC's new superheroes, especially Gal Gadot.

Now, as she continues to work on Wonder Woman 2 together with director Patty Jenkins, the DCEU's Diana Prince takes a trip down memory lane celebrating her first meeting with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director, Zack Snyder.

Taking to Twitter, Gadot responded to a Vero post from Snyder where the director shared the first photo he took of the actress. In her tweet, the Wonder Woman star thanked the filmmaker for believing that she had the chops to become a superhero.

"Wow, this image takes me back! The amazing Zack Snyder took it on the first day we ever met. He believed I could be a superhero. Then I became Wonder Woman! #icansoidid," Gadot wrote in her tweet.

Ever since her appearance in Batman v Superman, Gadot's Wonder Woman has been a fan-favorite character. Viewers loved her accent and her strength. In 2017, Gadot starred in her own standalone film, and Wonder Woman became one of the DCEU's first success, winning big at both the box office and at the critical arena.

Now, fans are patiently waiting for the release of Wonder Woman 1984, a period piece set in the 80's that's bringing back Chris Pine's Steve Trevor.

Wonder Woman 1984 is set for release on June 5, 2020.
