Crunchyroll is home to numerous hit anime, and there’s no doubt it will secure streaming rights for a Shonen Jump hit like Witch Watch.

However, fans can also expect Netflix to be one of the platforms where viewers can stream Witch Watch. The first season, which will run for two cours, will premiere on Netflix worldwide in April. Details on the exact date and time are yet to be announced.

This may be one of those rare instances where an anime will be airing on two major streaming platforms, but having more options is always great for fans eagerly awaiting a series they’ve been looking forward to.

Witch Watch is one of Shueisha’s most successful romantic comedy manga, written by Sket Dance creator Kenta Shinohara. With its mix of humor, fantasy, and romance, it’s a must-watch for those who enjoy laugh-out-loud magical moments!

The story follows witch-in-training Nico Wakatsuki, who moves in with her childhood friend, Morihito Otogi — an ogre in human form. As Nico’s protector, Otogi gets caught up in all sorts of magical mishaps, from unpredictable spells to unexpected visitors from the supernatural world. Their daily life is anything but ordinary, and while their bond grows stronger, so do the romantic yet hilariously awkward situations they find themselves in.

The anime is produced by Bibury Animation Studios, the team behind The Quintessential Quintuplets sequels and Azur Lane: The Animation.

Witch Watch features Rina Kawaguchi as Nico Wakatsuki, known for her role in The Idolmaster Shiny Colors, and Ryota Suzuki as Morihito Otogi, who also voices Ryusui Nanami in Dr. Stone.

Additionally, Hiroshi Ikehata (Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You, Akiba's Trip: The Animation) is directing, with scripts supervised by Deko Akao (Komi Can't Communicate, Arakawa Under the Bridge). Fans can also look forward to character designs by Haruko Iizuka (Horimiya, Tanaka-kun is Always Listless).
