In a red carpet interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, director Rian Johnson was asked whether he and Craig are planning to do more Knives Out movies after Wake Up Dead Man.

He revealed that they are eyeing to do more installments and are coming up with ideas on how they will continue Benoit Blanc's adventures.

"Creatively, I feel energized after making this one," the filmmaker said. "Daniel and I are already starting to formulate. What could the next one be if we do another one?"

Johnson also shared that he enjoys working with a different ensemble in each installment of the franchise.

"I don’t know why I would stop doing it if we could keep making them," he said.

Despite the tease that they are planning to do more Knives Out movies in the future, Johnson did not reveal what ideas he is planning for the next installments or when he is planning to make the potential fourth movie.
