After a five-year wait, fans are ready for the live-action debut of Adam Warlock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and while his entry to the franchise might have been behind schedule, it's still safe to say that the character, played by Will Poulter will be creating a massive impact upon his arrival to the billion-dollar franchise.
Now, we still don't know what role he plays in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 but it looks like Warlock will be a huge thorn in the side of Star-Lord as an ongoing Marvel theory suggests that the powerful cosmic being will be Gamora's love interest in the threequel. To those unaware, both characters shared a brief romance in the comics which makes the said theory all the more plausible.
However, actor Will Poulter debunked any romantic connection between him and Zoe Saldana's fan-favorite character who was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Speaking with the Movie Dweeb, the MCU newcomer responded with "huh?" before saying that the rumor is "breaking news to [him]," and that “it’s probably best to assume [that it’s not happening].

Well, it looks like Star-Lord and Gamora shippers will be able to sleep soundly knowing that nothing will come between their favorite MCU pairing. Well, that is if Peter Quill will be actually able to once again woo Gamora who is clearly a "different" version of the character who died in Avengers: Infinity War.
Marvel Studios' third and final Guardians of the Galaxy film will premiere on May 5, 2023.
