Even before Meghan Markle rose to international stardom upon dating and marrying Prince Harry, she was already famous for being an actress. However, come her royal wedding in 2018, she had to leave her show, Suits, and the entertainment industry as a whole. But will she return to the business now that she's back in the U.S. after stepping down as a working senior royal?
Meghan Markle is Done with Acting
Back in 2017, when the former actress' relationship with the Duke of Sussex started blossoming, the 41-year-old was already ready to leave the entertainment industry.
"Even before Harry, she was starting to think about transitioning out of acting," a source told E! News. "She wants to focus on other worldly endeavors she is passionate about, like her philanthropy."

But despite it looking like giving up his career for a new life with her now-husband, she never saw it that way.
"I don't see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change," she told BBC. "It's a new chapter. And also, keep in mind I've been working on my show for seven years. So, we were very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series. For me, once we hit the 100-episode marker, I thought, I have ticked this box, and I feel really proud of the work I've done there. and now it's time to work as a team with you [Harry]."

Meghan Markle Done But 'Never Say Never' To Acting
In the Variety cover story in 2022, she reiterated her plans not to return to acting, though she seemed open to possibilities when she said, "never say never."
"But my intention is to absolutely not," she stressed.
But if her kids, Archie and Lilibet, wanted to join the entertainment industry, she would find it great.

"When you become a parent, you genuinely want your kids to find the things that bring them complete joy," she said.
"They're our kids, obviously, and they're part of a legacy and a tradition and a family that will have other expectations. But I want them to be able to carve out their own path. If it's the entertainment industry, great. And also, good luck," she continued. "There are so many people that will talk about what opened the door for my children. But it still takes talent and a lot of grit. We're creating multidimensional, interesting, kind, creative people. That's who our kids are."
