Dandadan’s premiere is still months away, but some fans are already getting excited to see their favorite characters. Now, fans are wondering if Jiji will appear in the Dandadan anime based on a recent report.
It was reported recently by some anime insiders that the upcoming anime will have a two-cour length, meaning it will have over 20 episodes.
While it’s still not official, this is giving plenty of fans hope about the characters who will appear and the arcs that will be covered.
Dandadan Reportedly Getting Two-Cour Release Schedule
Thanks to the Dandadan manga’s popularity, lots of fans have been hoping for an anime adaptation. Finally, the anime was confirmed in November 2023.
What made it even more exciting is that it’s being produced by Science SARU, the anime studio behind notable titles such as Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and Devilman Crybaby.
While the anime is confirmed to premiere in the fall, there hasn’t been much info about its release. Recently though, some anime insiders on X (formerly Twitter) reported that the Dandadan anime will have a two-cour run.
This should mean that the anime is expected to have 24 episodes, as there are usually 12 episodes in one cour.
Take note that the reports suggest that it will be a split-cour release, meaning the first half will air in fall 2024, with the next half likely airing in spring 2025.

Fans Think Jiji Will Appear in the Dandadan Anime
If a two-cour release schedule is the case, that should mean the anime will be able to cover the Cursed House Arc. This also means Jiji will likely appear, at least in the second cour.
Typically, anime adaptations cover two to three chapters in an episode. As the Cursed House Arc begins in chapter 28, it should make it the perfect opener for the show’s second half.
Even though the reports aren’t official, fans are already getting excited about Jiji, as seen in a discussion on the Dandadan subreddit.

Which Arcs Will the Dandadan Anime Cover? Our Predictions
Assuming that the anime will indeed have 24 episodes, it’s likely that the anime will cover the end of the Cursed House Arc given that it ends in chapter 50.
There’s also a chance that the series will have a faster pace and cover more than two chapters an episode. In that case, we may see the series cover the events of the Evil Eye Arc.
It should be safe to assume that the Kaiju Arc won’t be covered given how it starts in chapter 62.
