Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon films were divided into two parts: A Child of Fire and The Scargiver. You might be wondering why is Kora 'the Scargiver' in Rebel Moon. Allow us to explain with the director's own description.
Spoiler Warning: This article includes spoilers for Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver, so proceed with caution.
Difference Between the Two Parts

Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire wasn't clear about who the moniker belonged to: either Princess Issa (played by Stella Grace Fitzgerald) or Kora (played by Sofia Boutella).
Although Princess Issa was only briefly seen riding a large spaceship, it was hinted that she would be "The Redeemer" and the one who "would stop the madness of war."
But because the prophecy of Princess Issa as "The Redeemer" was unfulfilled, it's possible that the title "A Child of Fire" could also refer to Kora's origin story.

Rebel Moon Scargiver Meaning

Snyder's second Rebel Moon film is a war movie. As the director explains:
Although the first part does not really divulge who the "Child of Fire" title belonged to, Scargiver is a different story. Rebel Moon Scargiver meaning refers to "Kora's nickname and relationship with Princess Issa."
The trailer of Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver also shows Kora in battle mode. This highlights her fate as a skilled blade fighter in the franchise.
Aside from Kora's skills in battle, her nickname as the Scargiver could be a constant reminder of what she went through.
Why is Kora 'the Scargiver' in Rebel Moon

But why is Kora 'the Scargiver' in Rebel Moon? Who gave her that nickname?
We don't really know how Kora earned the nickname, the Scargiver, but it could have something to do with her experience in the army.
The trailer shows that Admiral Atticus Noble (played by Ed Skrein) referred to Kora as "the Scargiver."
This will, of course, be revealed in Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver.
