What is the Story of Vikings: Valhalla?
Vikings: Valhalla is inspired by the real history of the Vikings, but the show takes artistic liberties in interpreting the tales.

In the midst of battles, intrigue, and politics, the Vikings discover their true selves and who their allies are.
Who is the Traitor in Vikings: Valhalla?
By the first season of Vikings: Valhalla, we learn the real personalities of the characters.
The traitor in Vikings: Valhalla is Olaf, who betrays not only his comrades and allies, but also his brother, Harald.
Who is Olaf?
Olaf Haraldson is the older brother of Harald and the current Prince of Norway, first-in-line to inherit the throne to be the King of Norway. He is a devout Christian, but he is very selfish, ambitious, and conniving.
Olaf's goal is to unite all of Norway no matter the cost.
He has kidnapped the children of Emma of Normandy to coerce her into revealing where her husband's gold is. Olaf also formed an alliance with Kare, but we later on learned that he only planned to use Kare's army to weakn Kattegat's forces while keeping his own men safe and reserved for battle.
In the middle of the ensuing war, Olaf also betrays Lief by stabbing his lover, Liv, right before his eyes. Lief carried Liv in a barn, where she died in his arms.
