A new actor has been cast to play the role of Manny in The Last of Us season 3 after Danny Ramirez exited the role ahead of production.
After playing the character in the second season, it was reported that the Captain America: Brave New World star won't be returning to the role in the third season due to "scheduling conflicts." Since then, fans have been wondering which actor the show will cast to take over the role. As it turns out, they've cast another MCU actor.
Who is Playing Manny in The Last of Us Season 3?

Deadline confirmed that Jorge Lendeborg Jr. has been cast to take over the role of Manny in the third season of The Last of Us.
In case you're not familiar with the actor, he notably played Jason Ionello in the MCU Spider-Man trilogy. He also starred in films such as Love, Simon, Bumblebee, Night Teeth, and Alita: Battle Angel.
Lendeborg is replacing Ramirez, who had to exit from the role due to scheduling conflicts. It is more likely that he will be busy filming Avengers: Secret Wars this year, where he is expected to continue playing his MCU role of Joaquin Torres/Falcon.
While Manny Alvarez did not have much screen time in the second season, he is expected to get a lot more spotlight in the third season, where the story will shift its focus to Abby.
Aside from Lendeborg, it has also been announced that veteran actress Clea DuVall has been cast to play a seraphite in the third season. More casting announcements will be made in the coming days or weeks.
What to Expect in The Last of Us Season 3
The third season of The Last of Us will cover the second half of The Last of Us Part II video game, particularly from the perspective of Kaitlyn Dever's Abby. It was teased in the final scene of the second season finale.
"We haven’t seen the last of Kaitlyn Dever, and we haven’t seen the last of Bella Ramsey, and we haven’t seen the last of Isabela Merced, and we haven’t seen the last of a lot of people who are currently dead in the story," Craig Mazin teased in an interview last May 2025.
Gabriel Luna (Tommy) and Jeffrey Wright (Isaac) are also expected to return in the third season.
However, Neil Druckmann will not be involved as a co-showrunner as he has stepped back from the position after the renewal announcement. He will continue to serve as an executive producer. He left to focus on his projects at Naughty Dog.
