The new Spice and Wolf anime is here, and fans can’t wait for more. Aside from anticipating the next episodes, Spice and Wolf fans are also curious about Kevin Penkin, the show’s music composer.
Music is a big part of any anime, and fans can’t wait to hear more of the new Spice and Wolf tracks. After all, Penkin is a renowned composer in the anime world.
While we haven’t heard much of the new soundtrack yet, the show has already delighted fans with its first episode.
Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf Delights Long-Time Fans
The original Spice and Wolf anime aired over a decade ago, and while there’s a brand-new anime, it’s not a sequel. Instead, it’s another adaptation of the light novel, effectively making it a reboot.
Despite the show being a retelling, fans were still delighted by it thanks to its animation and character design. It also helped that there was a nod in the beginning that hints at some future developments.
Moreover, Holo and Lawrence’s original voice actors also returned. This means Ami Koshimizu (Ryuko Matoi in Kill la Kill) once again voices Holo while Kraft Lawrence is voiced by Jun Fukuyama (Yukio Okumura in Blue Exorcist).
While the voice cast returned, the new anime is being produced by Passione (of Ishura fame), with its music being composed by Kevin Penkin.

Will the Spice and Wolf 2024 Soundtrack Be Released? Our Predictions
As Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf only premiered recently, we probably won’t see the soundtrack get released anytime soon.
Typically, anime soundtracks are released either right after or some weeks after the show or movie is released. Thus, fans will likely need to wait until the anime’s first season ends before the soundtrack gets released on streaming platforms.
Chances are high that it will get an official release though. After all, most of Penkin’s soundtracks are available on streaming platforms like Spotify.
