Toho Animation has dropped the main trailer for Dr. Stone Season 4, titled Science Future.
Following their escape from Dr. Stanley’s clutches and forging an alliance between the Brody Group and the Kingdom of Science in the previous season, Senku and his team are now on their way to South America.
The upcoming season is expected to adapt the final five arcs of Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi’s manga: New America City, South America, New Stone World, Globetrotting, and Moon Mission.
Senku and his allies will face the dark side’s science master in a thrilling conclusion of the fourth and final season.
The trailer introduces the season’s main villain, Stanley Snyder, and teases the arrival of a new antagonist: Dr. Xeno Houston Wingfield (voiced by Kenji Nojima).
So, who is Xeno, and what dangers will he bring to Dr. Stone Season 4? Read on to find out.
Meet the Evil-Doer, Dr. Xeno
Also known as the Scientist of Darkness, Xeno is the main antagonist of the New America City arc.
After the petrification event on Earth, Xeno and his subordinates established a territory in the U.S., driven by his ambition and scientific expertise to attempt world domination.
However, despite initially serving as an antagonist, Xeno becomes an unlikely ally to Senku during the South America arc after being successfully recruited.
He later fully integrates into the Kingdom of Science, supporting Senku and his friends in their quest to uncover the mystery of Why-Man.
With his background as a former NASA scientist, Xeno plays a pivotal role in advancing Senku’s mission, particularly in developing cutting-edge technologies like rockets for space exploration.
His expertise proves essential, enabling Senku to achieve feats that would otherwise be unattainable.
Dr. Stone Season 4 Trailer Features the Battle Against the American Colony
The main trailer for Dr. Stone Season 4 reveals the brutal welcome Senku and his allies receive from the American Colony as they finally arrive in South America.
The trailer introduces Stanley Snyder (voiced by Koji Yusa), Xeno’s right-hand man and a former United States Army officer, who spreads terror and fear to all who cross his and his leader’s path.
Stanley's group, armed with advanced technology and weapons, puts Senku and his team at a clear disadvantage.
However, Senku and his allies fight back with the power of science, determined to overcome the odds.
As the main cast battles the villains, they continue their work on building a rocket. Despite the looming threat, Senku and his team remain focused on their ultimate goal: uncovering the source of the petrification and reaching Superalloy City.
The trailer also highlights the new season’s opening theme song, “Cassanova Posse” by Ali, and the ending theme, “Rolling Stone” by Breimen.
Divided into three cours, Dr. Stone Season 4 is set to premiere on January 9, 2025, with streaming available on Netflix in Asia on the same day
