Actress Chandler Kinney has become one of the fan-favorite contestants in the current season of Dancing with the Stars thanks to her impressive performances with pro Brandon Armstrong.
While she has been a working actress for several years, you might not still be familiar with her work and curious to learn more about her outside the reality series.
Who is Chandler Kinney?
Chandler Kinney is mostly known for playing Willa in Disney Channel's Zombies film series, a franchise that has become popular for the network. She reprised the role in the animated series.
She also had her breakthrough when she co-starred as Tabitha "Tabby" Haworthe in Max's Pretty Little Liars reboot. She was considered one of the standouts of the series.
Early in her career, she made guest appearances in hit TV shows such as American Horror Story, 90210, Girls Meet World, and K.C. Undercover.
With her standout performances in Zombies and now in Dancing with the Stars, there is no doubt that Kinney will have a bright future ahead and prove further that she is one of the great talents of this generation.
Chandler Kinney's Dancing with the Stars Performance
Kinney has become a major standout in the current 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars as she has the highest score in the first two weeks of the competition.
She was also the top performer during the first night of Week 3's Two-Night Special. As a result, she is now one of the favorites for the remaining weeks of the competition.
In an interview, the actress reflected on how doing the series has become the biggest challenge that she took in her career so far.
"I historically have been more offline than a lot of, I would say, other members of Gen Z. It is just such a specific environment to be in at such a young age and to be subjected to so many people’s opinions and judgment of you when you’re just trying to figure out who the heck you are," Kinney said.
"But now I’m in a competition where it’s become an integral part of your success on the show."
While Kinney had dancing experiences when she was young, competing in the ballroom was no joke for her.
"I think you’re just trying to hold so many things in your head all at once. You can’t just focus on one thing, and that’s been a great challenge for me. I am not a big multitasker. I like to just give 100 percent of myself to the thing in front of me and that’s impossible in this competition," she said.
