May the odds be ever in your favor. One of the most notable Young Adult Dystopian franchises to exist out there is none other than The Hunger Games, which continues to be relevant, even years after the books were published and movies released.

Now, with Sunrise on the Reaping set to be added to the roster in expanding its universe, here's where to watch all the Hunger Games movies and how to access them using VPN services like ExpressVPN and VeePN.

Where to Watch The Hunger Games Franchise Online

From Catching Fire to Mockingjay to the first prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the franchise doesn't hold back when it comes to telling the true story of how Panem and the 12 districts came to be.

While the trilogy is crucial to watch in order, the prequels expand that universe and the fans' knowledge, which means viewers don't have to watch the originals before Sunrise on the Reaping, if they don't plan on hunting for Easter eggs.

Here are some of the streaming platforms that offer the entire franchise:

And if these platforms aren't available in your country? You're in luck. That's where VPN services come in to help you out.

How to Watch The Hunger Games Movies with a VPN

A VPN is your answer if you're struggling to find The Hunger Games on your preferred streaming platform or in your region. That's because a VPN bypasses geo-restrictions and convinces the network that you're within the same country where the exclusive content is available.

In our opinion, ExpressVPN (tried and tested by us) and VeePN are the best options, offering quick, easy, and secure connections at reasonable prices.

ExpressVPN and VeePN are two of our favorite VPNs. Learn more about their features and grab a subscription through the following links.

Here's how to get started with a VPN:

Step 1: Sign Up

  • Pick a price plan and start your subscription, then download the app of your VPN service of choice.

Step 2: Connect

  • Navigate the app and explore connecting to different servers located in the US, the UK, and beyond.

Step 3: Stream

  • Go to your designated streaming platform, log in, and you'll be able to watch movies and shows outside your region.

Other Options to Consider

If ExpressVPN and VeePN are not your top picks, there are other VPN services worth looking into, as well:

  • NordVPN: Offers strong security and provides excellent server speeds
  • Surfshark: Unlimited device connections at an affordable value
  • CyberGhost: Known for its fast speed and reliable server networks across countries
  • Private Internet Access: Known for strong privacy features and an affordable, feature-rich VPN service

Beyond providing access to streaming-exclusive content from the comfort of your own home, VPNs offer several other significant benefits.

Firstly, they enhance data privacy by masking your IP address, preventing monitoring by ISPs, advertisers, and other potentially exploitative or malicious entities. VPNs also strengthen online security by encrypting your internet connection, and can help reduce lag when connecting to new servers.

Ultimately, using a VPN any time you're online is a smart move, so don't just switch one on when it's time to hunker down and watch everything in The Hunger Games franchise in the comfort of your own home!

Suzanne Collins already released one other prequel in The Hunger Games franchise, titled The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, which followed the backstory of President Snow of Panem and his champion, District 12's Lucy Gray Baird.

She is set to release a second prequel called Sunrise on the Reaping, which follows the story of a young Haymitch Abernathy this time. Haymitch, before he went on to champion for District 12 and become the mentor for Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark.

Set 24 years before the events of the original Hunger Games trilogy, Sunrise on the Reaping unravels how Haymitch survived his game and how President Snow set upon his wrath on the 50th Hunger Games, otherwise known as the Second Quarter Quell.

As of writing, the confirmed cast for the upcoming prequel is Joseph Zada as young Haymitch, McKenna Grace as Maysilee Donner, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, and Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket.

Meanwhile, the younger versions of other original characters will be played by Ralph Fiennes (President Snow), Kieran Culkin (Caesar Flickerman), Maya Hawke (Wiress), and Glenn Close (Drusilla Sickle).

Sunrise on the Reaping is set to release on the big screens on November 20, 2026. Stay tuned!
