Starting in 2003, NCIS has become a global television phenomenon, blending military procedural drama with long-running character arcs that fans truly love.
Ranked as one of the most-watched series globally for two decades, it’s no surprise that the show has spawned several spinoffs, including NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Hawai’i, NCIS: Sydney, NCIS: Origins, and NCIS: Tony & Ziva.
So, for fans who want to dive into the entire NCIS universe, here’s where you can watch the original hit series and its spinoffs, and how you can use a VPN, such as ExpressVPN or VeePN, if they’re not available in your country.
Where to Watch NCIS and Its Spinoffs
The main foundation of the entire NCIS franchise is the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), a civilian law enforcement agency of the US Department of the Navy.
The shows follow elite teams of Special Agents, often led by a tough and wise veteran like Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), investigating felony crimes that involve members of the US Navy and the Marine Corps.
Here’s where to watch NCIS and its spinoffs:
- Stream: Paramount+ (All episodes of the flagship series and most spinoffs)
- Rent or Purchase: Amazon Video, Apple TV, Google Play / YouTube, Fandango at Home
Paramount+ is the exclusive streaming home of NCIS and most of its spinoffs, while new episodes of ongoing series, like NCIS, NCIS: Sydney, and NCIS: Origins, air weekly on the CBS network, with next-day streaming available on Paramount+.

How to Use a VPN to Watch NCIS and Its Spinoff
Access to streaming content is often restricted by geo-blocking. So, if you live outside the US and NCIS and its spinoffs are not available in your country, you need a VPN to still enjoy streaming.
A VPN allows you to connect to a server in a different country, temporarily masking your real IP address and making it appear as though you are browsing from that chosen location. By connecting to a US server, you can access the full US library of Paramount+ and stream all the NCIS shows.
To achieve the best streaming experience, we recommend using a reliable VPN such as ExpressVPN or VeePN.
ExpressVPN delivers lightning-fast speed and access via over 3,000 servers across 105 countries, guaranteeing seamless viewing of every episode. Alternatively, VeePN provides reliable performance with more than 2,600 servers, featuring budget-friendly plans starting at just $1.99 per month for affordable global streaming.

Other VPN Options to Consider
If you are looking for alternatives, here are several top VPNs that offer the same reliable performance and smooth, safe streaming as ExpressVPN and VeePN:
- NordVPN: Offers strong security and provides excellent server speeds.
- Surfshark: Unlimited device connections at an affordable price.
- CyberGhost: Known for its fast speed and reliable server networks across countries.
- Private Internet Access: Known for strong privacy features and an affordable, feature-rich VPN service
VPNs offer more than just streaming access; they are essential for protecting your online privacy. By masking your IP address and encrypting your internet traffic, they make it much harder for anyone to monitor your activity.
For maximum security, keep your VPN active whenever you browse or stream your favorite shows.
What’s New in the NCIS Universe

The NCIS universe is continuously expanding, with new spinoffs still being released. In October 2024, Mark Harmon is back in the prequel NCIS: Origins, beginning in 1991 before the events of the original NCIS.
It follows the young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Austin Stowell, and narrated by Harmon himself.
Origins is followed by NCIS: Tony & Ziva in September 2025, with Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo reprising their respective NCIS roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David.
The show follows the couple as they raise their daughter, Tali. Things get complicated when Tony’s security company is hacked, forcing the two to figure out who is after them.
“We knew and always wanted to expand it, but when you’re dealing with a franchise, you don’t want to oversaturate the market, you don’t want to dilute the value of each individual show. So it really comes down to somebody coming in with an idea for a show that could stand on its own and could be part of the franchise, but is wholly unique from any of the others,” CBS Studios President David Stapf told Deadline about expanding the NCIS franchise.
