The anime adaptation by OLM is set to premiere on October 6, 2021.
Komi Can't Communicate follows the story of Shouko Komi and Hitohito Tadano. Komi is considered a popular figure in Itan Private High School due to her looks and the stoic atmosphere that she emanates. Tadano is an average boy who ends up sitting next to Komi, which results in being targeted as an enemy of the class. Even though Komi is extremely popular, she actually has a communication disorder. Tadano discovers this and agrees to help her out with her goal of making a hundred friends in order to overcome her problem.
