Hijack Season 2 has officially returned to streaming, bringing Idris Elba back into the spotlight for another tense, high-stakes thriller.

Following the runaway success of the first season, the series raises the stakes once again as Sam Nelson finds himself entangled in yet another hijacking — this time under very different circumstances.

Whether you’re catching up on Season 1 or diving straight into the new episodes, here’s everything you need to know about where to watch Hijack online, plus how VPN services like ExpressVPN and VeePN can help if the show isn’t available in your region.

Sam Nelson didn't know what he had coming aboard the train. This London-based lawyer is a special case of happenstance, as he has been involved in two hijacking cases.

In season 1, Sam becomes a calm negotiator, the unlikely hero who ends up saving 200 passengers and crew from Kingdom Flight 29. Season 2 flips the script. Sam boards a train unaware that his past actions and his personal life have set him on a much darker path.

Will There Be Hijack Season 3? Executive Producer Breaks Silence

From hero to villain, could Sam Nelson inevitably meet his end in Hijack season 2? Series executive producer Jim Field Smith gets candid about production and the development of the ongoing series.

"I need to finish Hijack season 2 [first], so talk to me again when I've actually finished making this season," Smith previously told TV Insider. As of writing, only the first 2 episodes of Hijack have aired on Apple TV, making it nearly impossible to predict whether a third season could be underway this soon.

But fans should keep in mind that EP Smith would definitely be down for a third season: "I love making the show. I love working with Idris and with Apple, and all I can do when I'm making the show is focus on making the show."

For now, Sam has gone 360 degrees. From saving passengers to becoming a perpetrator in season 2, Elba's character is now strongly driven by a personal agenda, specifically involving his protection of his family.

The season 2 premiere only hinted at one grave thing that the series should answer: evidence showed that Sam had been planning this move for quite some time. It's only a matter of a few more episodes until we uncover his true fate in the end.
