As fans know, the previous seasons took place in Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand, all offering tropical and warm scenery. Fans are wondering whether the series will go to another continent that has never been explored before, or if it will go to another European or Asian location.
Where is The White Lotus Season 4 Taking Place?
According to Deadline, HBO and the producers of The White Lotus have circled France as the main location for season 4.
There are no details yet on which city or town in France the next season will take place, as it is still being finalized. No hotel has been locked in yet as the main shooting place. They usually partner with a Four Seasons hotel as the double for a White Lotus hotel.
Some have speculated that they might choose Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera as the main location due to the strong Hollywood ties with the Cannes Film Festival.
Other Four Seasons hotels in France that are being considered are the Megève in the French Alps and Hotel George V, located in Paris, which will be a different scenery due to the urban atmosphere.
However, the possibility of doing the next season in a ski resort has been shot down by showrunner Mike White and the season 3 cast members since White is not a fan of cold/winter locations.
What to Expect in The White Lotus Season 4
So far, there are no plot details yet for The White Lotus season 4 since it's still in early development, and the scripts have not been written yet.
The casting process is not expected to take place until the pre-production stage, but fans online are already sharing their dream casting for the next season.
After the third season finale aired, White teased what fans should expect in the fourth season and a different location atmosphere that he is eyeing.
"For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular, but there’s always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels," he said at that time.
