My Big Fat Greek Wedding is coming back for a third installment of the film. And the good news is that a release date for the film has already been set.
Focus Features, the distributor of the film, recently tweeted the schedule of the third film's release date. The tweet reads:
In addition to announcing the release date of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, the tweet released the first on-set image of the cast. They are currently shooting in Greece.

The movie brings back the original cast members, which include the following:
- Nia Vardalos (as Fotoula Portokalos)
- John Corbett (as Ian Miller)
- Andrea Martin (as Thiea Voula)
- Elena Kampouris (as Paris Miller)
- Lainie Kazan (as Maria Portokalos)
- Louis Mandylor (as Nick Portokalos)
- Gia Carides (as Nikki)
- Stephanie Nur (as Qamar)
- Joey Fatone (as Angelo)
- Maria Vacratsis (as Thiea Freida)
- Elias Kacavas (as Aristotle)
- Melina Kotselou
This is the first time Vardalos is directing My Big Fat Greek Wedding. She wrote and starred in the first two movies.
The movie is produced by Tom Hanks, his wife Rita Wilson, and Gary Goetzman. The executive producers are Paul Brooks, Scott Niemeyer, and Steven Shareshian.
