Following its recent successful theatrical release, fans are already wondering when they can stream Avatar: Fire and Ash on Disney+ and watch it from the comfort of their home.

The latest installment in James Cameron's epic science-fiction saga was finally released in theaters, three years after The Way of Water, just in time for the holiday season. While the reception from critics was in the mixed to positive range, audiences worldwide embraced the film as they commended its visual spectacle and more world-building on Pandora.

When is Avatar: Fire and Ash Coming to Disney+?

So far, Disney+ has not set a streaming release date yet for Avatar: Fire and Ash, given that it only started its theatrical run just recently.

Normally, most Disney theatrical movies arrive on Disney+ around three months after their release date in theaters. If Avatar: Fire and Ash follows the pattern, it will likely be available on the streamer as early as late March of next year.

However, there is also a strong possibility that it might take more months before its streaming premiere, given that The Way of Water took around six months before it was released on Disney+.

Audiences could also still watch the film at home earlier since it will be available on VOD digital platforms before its Disney+ streaming release. In past Disney theatrical movie releases, they usually arrive on digital around two months after they opened in theaters. But it might also be a different case here since The Way of Water arrived on VOD three months after its theatrical opening.

If fans would like to watch or rewatch Avatar: Fire and Ash, the only available option right now is to go to a movie theater and watch it on the big screen, whether it's regular screenings or in IMAX.

For now, fans should wait for news and updates regarding the film's Disney+ streaming release in the coming months, as it is too early to determine when it will be available on the platform.
