As Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 displays a closer connection between Percy and Annabeth Chase, fans couldn't help but wonder: when do Percy and Annabeth kiss in Percy Jackson and the Olympians?
WARNING: This article contains MAJOR SPOILERS for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, so proceed with caution.
Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase's Romantic Timeline So Far

Percy and Annabeth got off to a rough start, both in the Percy Jackson books and in Disney's Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.
Instead of feeling welcomed by his fellow demigod, Annabeth kept her distance to analyze which Cabin Percy belonged to on his first day. Annabeth didn't even help Percy when he was being bullied by Clarisse and her friends. Just like her mother, her decisions relied on strategy before taking action.
Not to mention, Percy was even more confused when Annabeth pushed him into the river without explaining anything, only for her work to come reaping rewards: Percy had finally been claimed by his father, Poseidon.
But don't worry: Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 definitely had major developments between Percabeth.
Apart from the fact that the trio had been writing letters to one another, Annabeth had been teased for being worried about her "boyfriend", with Percy quipping, "You've got another boyfriend?"
Let's not forget when Percy decided to fully trust Annabeth in the decisions she made throughout season 2 so far, even when he badly wanted to find out what the Great Prophecy had in store for him.
Annabeth Confesses Her Feelings to Percy
The 'Percabeth' ship is in for a bumpy ride on the Disney series, considering that the books didn't even let the two dig deep into their feelings, at least until The Last Olympian, aka the fifth book in the Percy Jackson series.
Although their feelings have been building up since Percy's pent-up jealousy, the slow-burning romance is exactly why readers have continued to root for the main couple in the series.

When Will Percy and Annabeth Kiss in Percy Jackson and the Olympians?
Considering that Riordan plans on adapting his novel series faithfully onto the small screen, it's likely we'll get to see Percy and Annabeth's first kiss somewhere around season 3 or season 4. (Mind you, this first kiss is a different one compared to their underwater kiss.)
In a recent interview with Walker Scobell, who plays the titular hero, he somewhat confirms what fans had long been suspecting about the Percabeth romantic timeline. We're only halfway through Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, and yet Percy and Annabeth have grown stronger as a team than ever before.
Scobell, however, admits to fans that while there is seemingly growing romantic tension between the two of them already, they shouldn't be viewed as intentional.

"It's incredible how much thought we haven't put into it," Scobell told DECIDER to address that fan theories shouldn't get ahead of the series just yet, "I think we both were like, let's just not lean into it at all until, like, season 4."
What book will season 4 cover? It's The Battle of the Labyrinth, where things officially start to kick off for Percy and Annabeth into the romantic stage of their journey together.
Riordan explained previously in an interview with TODAY that Percy and Annabeth will always be relevant to the story, especially their eventual relationship. This is because Riordan got together with his wife when they were 16 and have been together a long time since.
Riordan even calls his wife, Becky, "My Annabeth", who "keeps me from doing the dumb seaweed brain things that I would otherwise do." He added, "When I draw on Percy and Annabeth, that is straight out of my own relationship with Becky."
