Science SARU’s Dandadan has undoubtedly made a major impact this year, thrilling fans with its insane storyline, breathtaking animation, and a fantastic soundtrack that's definitely hard to ignore.

As Season 1 nears its finale, fans are left wondering how it will wrap up. Will the finale leave us with a cliffhanger, fall flat, or deliver the dramatic ending everyone’s hoping for? For now, let’s take a look at the Episode 12 preview and speculate on how it might unfold, along with what could happen in Season 2!

How Will Dandadan Season 1 End?

The previous episode, titled “First Love,” brought Momo Ayase’s childhood crush, Jin Enoji, known more as Jiji, into the spotlight. His reason for visiting Seiko’s home was revealed, along with his unique personality and close bond with Momo, much to Okarun’s demise.

True to its name, the episode also delivered an unexpected spectacle featuring Taro and Hana, two anatomical models hilariously in love. This outrageous scene led Okarun to finally realize his feelings for Momo.

Now, despite the lighter tone of the penultimate episode, the finale seems poised to take a more serious turn. It’s set to explore Jiji’s struggle with a haunting spirit, which is why he’s seeking Seiko’s help.

The preview video shows Okarun, Momo, and Jiji traveling to another city, where the newest character lives and might frequently encounter the spirit.

Additionally, the video hints at a looming threat. Unlike the usual supernatural foes, this time, the enemies appear to be human. While humans might seem less outlandish compared to the series’ usual antagonists, they could prove to be the most dangerous.

Episode 12 looks like it’s preparing for the Cursed House and Evil Eye arcs, known for some of the most intense moments in the manga. Since this arc is pretty lengthy, there's a chance the episode could end on a cliffhanger.

You can catch Dandadan Episode 12 on Thursday, December 19, streaming on Netflix and Crunchyroll.

Season 1 of Dandadan premiered this October with only two main leads, now it has grown into four after 11 episodes.

Unfortunately, for those who want to get to know the newest addition to team Okarun, they’ll have to wait for Season 2, which is not yet confirmed but there’s a high possibility to be aired in 2025.

Manga readers predict that Season 2 will focus heavily on Jiji’s story, with the Cursed House/Evil Eye arc expected to take up much of the season.

If Season 2 will be faithful to the manga, you can expect more insane moments, especially as they’re about to face another major antagonist that will surely give them a hard time.
