The 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars is celebrating the magic and joy of Disney in the upcoming "Disney Night" in Week 5.
You might be wondering what theme, dance style, and songs the couples will perform for next week's round. Fortunately, we finally have the exciting details on what fans can expect.
What is Dancing with the Stars Season 33's Disney Night About?
According to the press release from ABC, "Disney Night" will see the eight remaining couples celebrate the magic of Disney through vibrant performances inspired by beloved films and characters.
It will kick off with the opening number of "Friend Like Me" by Aladdin (choreographed by Mandy Moore) and feature a special appearance by Michael James Scott, who stars as Genie in the hit Broadway musical.
Viewers will also have their first look at the brand-new song from Moana 2 titled “We’re Back.” It will be making its broadcast debut with a routine by the troupe and eliminated pros and choreographed by Britt Stewart.
There will also be a team dance competition with couples divided into two teams:
- Team Goofs (“I2I” from A Goofy Movie) - Ilona (team captain) and Alan, Joey and Jenna, Chandler and Brandon, and Jenn and Sasha
- Team Roar (“I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from The Lion King) - Dwight (team captain) and Daniella, Danny and Witney, Stephen and Rylee, and Phaedra and Val
What are the Dance Styles and Songs that the Pairs Will Perform?
ABC has also revealed the dance styles and songs that the eight couples will perform during the special night.
Each celebrity contestant chose the songs for their routine as tributes and celebrations to the legacy and magic of Disney.
Here is the lineup for Disney Night:
- Danny Amendola and Witney Carson (Jazz) - “Bye Bye Bye” from Deadpool & Wolverine
- Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson (Samba) - “Trashin’ the Camp” from Tarzan
- Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach (Tango) - “When Can I See You Again?” from Wreck-It Ralph
- Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong (Paso Doble) - “We Own the Night” from Zombies 2
- Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten (Jazz) - “Surface Pressure” from Encanto
- Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold (Charleston) - “A Star Is Born” from Hercules
- Phaedra Parks and Val Chmerkovskiy (Jazz) - “Cruella de Vil” from 101 Dalmatians
- Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber (Rumba) - “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid
