"A love story between a woman and a man who sought revenge to regain justice and lost family that have been neglected. "
The Elegant Empire follows the story of Gi-yun (played by Kim Jin-woo), the good-looking chairman of WJ Entertainment. Although he appears to be a perfect man, he harbors a dark secret.
His wife, Shin Ju-kyung (played by Han Ji-wan), is a modern-day Cinderella. She is the perfect mother and is known as a doting wife. Still, she continues to balance her career.
In a wild turn of events, however, Ju-kyung suddenly disappears. Jung Woo-hyuk (played by Kang Yul), who is one of Ju-kyung's mentees, greatly felt her intriguing disappearance.
When someone who closely resembles Ju-kyung suddenly steps into Woo-hyuk's NA Entertainment, this surprises everyone. But this is only Seo Hee-jae (also played by Han Ji-wan).
This makes us wonder whether Ju-kyung secretly had a twin sister or not. But what other secrets does this series have? We'll know more when the show reaches its climax.
