Wesley Snipes has broken two Guinness World Records for his highly-celebrated return as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine.

The actor reprised his iconic role of the Daywalker in the MCU film to the surprise of many fans. He was one of the several actors whose involvement was being kept under wraps until the release.

What added more to the surprise of his return is that there were rumors throughout the years that Snipes and Ryan Reynolds allegedly have a feud because of their experience working together in Blade: Trinity.

The Guinness World Records confirmed that Snipes has broken two records as a result of his Blade cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine.

He now has the "longest career as a live-action Marvel character" between when he first played Blade in the titular 1998 film and the recent MCU installment. He beats Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, who was expected to take the record.

In addition, Snipes also earned the record for the "longest gap between character appearances in Marvel films." Alfred Molina's Doc Ock was previously the title holder for the 17-year gap between Spider-Man 2 and No Way Home.

There was a 20-year gap between the last time Snipes played Blade in Blade: Trinity and his return in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Snipes reacted to the exciting news in his recent post on X:

In a recent interview, Snipes opened up about his return as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine and shared that he and Reynolds got along this time around when they worked together again.

"Some of the things he did back in those days, that's not really my humor. I'm not tuned in that way. So I thought, 'Well, it's a little over the top for me.' But seeing him do it in this context made a lot of sense. And seeing him do it and do it well, Ryan does something that most people can't do," he said.

"He's unique in that way, and he's found a fantastic niche for himself doing what he does. Deadpool is Ryan Reynolds all day long. So it was enjoyable. It was enjoyable to work with him. It was enjoyable to revisit."

This is an impressive feat for Snipes since most fans would have never thought that he would be playing the Daywalker again, especially in a Deadpool movie with Reynolds.

It is great that the two actors have patched things up throughout the years and it led to this epic comeback that surprised a lot of long-time Marvel fans.

Deadpool & Wolverine is showing in theaters everywhere.
