Netflix renewed Wednesday for Season 3 just two weeks before the final episodes of Season 2 even aired. With Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) having fulfilled her mission to save Enid (Emma Myers) from death and battle zombies, Hydes, and even cult leaders altogether, what’s next for Nevermore and the rest of the Addams family?
Will there be Wednesday Season 3?

Wednesday will return to haunt anyone who dares threaten her family and friends in Season 2. Netflix renewed the series back in August, with co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough calling it “an alchemy of writing, directing, acting, crew, streamer, studio, and fans.”
“[Co-creator and co-showrunner] Miles [Millar] and I have been doing this long enough to know that shows like this don’t come along every day,” he told Tudum. “We remain grateful and excited to continue this journey and tell these stories with all of our partners.”
The early renewal didn’t come as a surprise. The first season alone became Netflix’s most-streamed English-language show of all time and the second most popular series overall, following Squid Game.
Meanwhile, the first part of Season 2 racked up an impressive 92.5 million views—though the success of its second part remains to be seen.
What Happened to Wednesday Season 2 Part 2?
Warning: Major Wednesday Season 2 spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk.
Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 delivered one intense twist after another, with the fan-favorite homicidal maniac uncovering dark family secrets and the shocking truth about Pugsley’s zombie, Slurp.
Slurp wasn’t just any undead—he was revealed to be Isaac Night, the creator of the Outcast reversal technology later used by the Avian. Isaac planned to use it on Tyler (Hunter Doohan), but Wednesday intervened and saved him. In retaliation, Isaac buried her alive.
With Agnes (Evie Templeton) unable to dig her out, Enid transformed into a werewolf and clawed through the mud, ultimately rescuing Wednesday before running away.
Back at Nevermore, Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) was exposed as a traitor and turned to stone as punishment, leaving students uncertain about whether they could ever return to the academy for the next school year.
What to Expect from Wednesday Season 3?
Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 wrapped up with several loose ends, teasing what could unfold in the third season.
After Enid fled, Wednesday and Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen) set out to find her in the woods. Now believed to be permanently wolfed-out as an Alpha werewolf after transforming under the full moon, the big question is whether Enid will ever return to her human form.
Meanwhile, Morticia Addams’ (Catherine Zeta-Jones) sister, Ophelia, was revealed to be alive—secretly locked away by Grandmama (Joanna Lumley). This means Season 3 may finally explore why Wednesday’s aunt has been hidden all this time the true reason behind her hate toward her niece.
Elsewhere, after Tyler’s face-off with his mother, Francoise (Frances O’Connor), Isadora Capri (Billie Piper) took him to join the other Hydes, suggesting that fans will likely see him return in the next season.
Wednesday Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix, while it remains to be seen when Season 3 will be out.
