After months of waiting, Warner Bros has finally unveiled its big streaming service rival to Netflix. Called HBO Max, this new streaming service is going to be a huge amalgamation of various networks owned by Warner Bros, from HBO and DC Universe to Cartoon Network and TNT, among others. There's going to be a lot of big shows that will lure fans in and it's going to be interesting seeing how HBO Max does when it comes out in Spring 2020.
From what can be seen in the trailer above, they didn't waste any time showing fans that Game of Thrones would be a part of the service. HBO's most beloved show (until the last two seasons anyway) will definitely be the driving motivation for many to pick this streaming service up. HBO Max has also taken FRIENDS away from Netflix, so there's another show for ‘90s kids to enjoy.
It will also have shows from DC Universe, so that should be a no-brainer for fans of that service. Titans is doing well, getting another season and all that, while Doom Patrol has been praised by the masses. Swamp Thing has also received a lot of love, despite the fact that it's getting the ax and won't be getting a second season.
WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-To-Consumer Chairman Robert Greenblatt had this to say:
HBO Max will be available in Spring 2020.
