Venom Will Be PG-13, Runtime Revealed

To the surprise of no one who's been a fan of Tom Hardy, he not only plays the lead role in Venom but also provides the voice of his symbiote counterpart. It's a nice touch for the film and shows that plenty of effort has been put to make this a quality movie so let's hope that this is a nice surprise and isn't just a cash-in from Sony.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Hardy discussed how it was like filming the scenes where he would have to talk to himself and it sounds like a wild time. Apparently, the Mad Max: Fury Road actor would have to record his Venom lines early and have to wear an earpiece as Eddie Brock so that he could recite his lines well.

He credits the sound team for making this work and it's easy to see why since they were likely a vital component to execute these scenes. The psychological inner battle between Eddie Brock and Venom has always been a compelling part of the comics, especially the current Venom run from Donnie Cates and Ryan Stegman, so nailing this was important.

Sony is hoping to make a Spider-Man supporting character-verse, with Venom as the cinematic universe's opening shot. The film comes out on October 5, so let's hope this is the start of something good.
