Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that not all MCU heroes that were introduced in Phase Four will be returning in the upcoming Avengers movies.
One of the biggest questions that fans have regarding the next Avengers installments is the lineup of heroes that will be included and lead the Multiverse Saga's iteration of the team.
So far, Marvel Studios remains mum on the details, but fans are hoping that the heroes that were introduced during Phase Four will be part of the lineup. However, as it turns out, that won't exactly be the case.
Kevin Feige Confirms Not All Phase Four Heroes Will Appear in Upcoming Avengers Movies
In a recent interview, Feige was asked whether all heroes that were introduced in Phase Four will be returning in the upcoming Avengers movies.
He confirmed that not all Phase Four heroes are set to appear, but it doesn't mean that we won't be seeing the absent characters again in the future.
"I rarely speak in absolutes like that, right? The notion of never ever seeing somebody again, we’ve got Tim Blake Nelson in a movie coming up next year, right? So I never talk in absolutes like that," the Marvel Studios president said.
"But the truth is, you know, we’re going to tell a story in these Avengers movies, and there won’t be room for 100,000 characters in it. So choices will have to be made, that’s for sure. But that doesn’t mean you won’t ever see anybody ever again."
This news from Feige might be disappointing for fans who have been looking forward to seeing all the Phase Four heroes appear again in the upcoming Avengers movies.
However, it is understandable that they don't want to overcrowd the movies which is why they have to cut some of the characters and focus on the heroes that will be more integral to the story instead.
It is curious to see which heroes will make it to the lineup, and hopefully, we will be able to learn about it in Marvel Studios' upcoming San Diego Comic-Con Hall H presentation later this week.
