Trigun Stampede just had an awesome panel at Anime NYC where a new trailer for the highly anticipated reboot has been dropped. Interestingly, the new teaser features our first look at Million Knives as well as three new characters who will play a huge role in the anime. In addition to that, a new concept art has been revealed.
Trigun Stampede Trailer Reveals Million Knives' Angel Arms
The new Trigun Stampede trailer was unleashed during the anime's panel at Anime NYC. It opens with Million Knives asking someone if they have ever wanted to meet God before revealing that God had rained fire on a city of corrupt fools in an effort to create a righteous world. Knives then admits that he intends to even everything out.
As he addresses Vash the Stampede, we finally get a closer look at Million Knives who appears very different from the manga and previous anime. The character, who is voiced by Junya Ikeda, gets to show off his powers and skill in using his Angel Arms.
In addition to introducing Million Knives, the new Trigun Stampede trailer announced three new cast members. Koki Uchiyama will play Legato Bluesummers while TARAKO has been cast as Zazie the Beast. Ryusei Nakao has also been confirmed to play William Conrad in the anime.
Trigun Stampede Concept Art Shows More Angel Arms
One of the coolest things about the Anime NYC panel is the concept art that was shared. A notable concept art is the first artwork that was made when the project was still in the pitching stage. Interestingly, it is also confirmed that Trigun Stampede is the new Trigun that was only made possible after the manga was completed.
Trigun Stampede is based on Yasuhiro Nightow's manga and follows the misadventures of Vash the Stampede, a gunman on the run who happens to have a "60 billion double dollar" bounty on his head. Vash is known as "The Stampede" because of the destruction that zealous bounty hunters wreak on any town he visits.
The new anime will star Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Vash the Stampede, Junya Ikeda as Knives Millions, Maaya Sakamoto as Rem Saverem, Sakura Andou as Meryl Stryfe, Kenji Matsuda as Roberto De Niro, and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Nicholas D. Wolfwood.
Trigun Stampede will premiere in January 2023.
