Tom Cruise has vowed that he will continue to make movies until he is 100 years old, and he won't be slowing down from being a movie star.

At the age of 62, he continues to become one of the biggest movie stars in the world and is still doing a lot of crazy stunts in his action films. He has also been a champion of the theatrical experience, as he always encourages audiences to watch movies on the big screen.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cruise revealed that he has no plan to retire from making movies when he reaches his 80s. Instead, he intends to act until he is 100 years old.

"I actually said I’m going to make movies into my 80s; actually, I’m going to make them into my 100s," he said.

"I will never stop. I will never stop doing action, I will never stop doing drama, comedy films — I’m excited."

Cruise also reflected on the rewarding experience of making the Mission: Impossible films for three decades and working with different filmmakers.

"There’s been so many levels of reward with the filmmakers that I’ve collaborated with, the crews, the people, the cultures that we’ve worked in. Everything that I’ve learned and continue to learn about storytelling, about life, about leadership, about character, and every aspect of filmmaking," he said.

"It’s been exceptional, it really is exceptional. I feel very fortunate to be able to make the films that I make, and I love it. I love just making movies."

Tom Cruise Stars in Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning

Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt (perhaps for the last time) in the new installment Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.

Just like in the last few installments, Christopher McQuarrie serves as the director and co-producer alongside Cruise.

"The most giving, most game — he’s down for anything. Whether or not he understands something, he’s fully willing to jump into something, whether he feels it or not. He’s a great teacher and a great student," he described his collaboration with Cruise.

The film features crazy stunts where Cruise's Ethan Hunt is seen in an underwater submarine sequence and hanging on an airplane flying 10,000 feet above.

"There’s a lot of pre-stunt rituals that keep me alive — it depends on what I’m doing and the amount of preparation I have to do. A lot of thought goes into it, and they are very complex and very interesting," Cruise said of his ritual for doing the stunts.
