Fans of Timothée Chalamet have been speculating about his new hairstyle, as recent photos revealed that he is currently sporting a buzz cut.
The Oscar-nominated actor is working on the highly anticipated third installment of the Dune franchise, reprising the role of Paul Atreides. There has been anticipation of the physical transformation he will undergo for the upcoming chapter.
Did Timothee Chalamet Just Get a Buzz Cut?
Recent photos of Chalamet have surfaced online, showing him with a seemingly buzz cut.
He was spotted last weekend hanging out with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner at Shellona Beach in Saint-Tropez, France. He was wearing a bandana and a cap to cover his hair.
However, the back of his head was still exposed, as it showed that he now has a buzz cut and no longer has his signature curls. He has also shaved his mustache.
Fans are speculating that Chalamet's new buzz cut might be related to his preparation for Dune: Part Three, which recently started filming in Budapest. Those who have read Dune Messiah may not be surprised to see why he had to shave his head for the movie.
While Chalamet doesn't have signature curls for now, it hasn't stopped fans online from being excited to see his new hairstyle, and it has made them even more excited for his next chapter as Paul Atreides in the third film.
So far, Chalamet has not publicly commented about his recent hairstyle.
What to Expect in Dune: Part Three?
Dune: Part Three is the third entry in Denis Villeneuve's Dune trilogy. It will be based on Frank Herbert's second novel in the Dune series, Dune Messiah.
It was previously titled Dune: Messiah, but reports have confirmed that the film will simply be titled "Dune: Part Three."
Some of the sequences will be shot with IMAX cameras, promising breathtaking visuals and more epic scope for the new installment.
Aside from Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and Jason Momoa are expected to reprise their roles from the previous films. They are joined by Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke, who will play Paul and Chani's children.
Robert Pattinson is also reportedly set to play the villain role of Scytale.
The film is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters in December 2026.
