Well, they're the Thunderbolts and here is everything you need to know for the movie with the release date and time, countdown, spoilers, theories, plots, previews, and the rest of it.

Thunderbolts Release Date: When Will the Marvel Movie Come Out?

At the San Diego Comic-Con, Thunderbolts has been announced to form part and close out the MCU Phase Five as it is revealed to be set for premiere in theaters on July 26, 2024.

It will be the culmination of the movies in MCU's Phase Five with the arrival of the team built by Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and she has already started with her recruitment given that everyone already saw her in Black Widow and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

During Disney's D23 Expo, the cast confirmed to appear on the upcoming Thunderbolts movie, set to close out Phase 5 of the MCU attended the event,

It includes their very own version of Nick Fury with Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus who was seen in both The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Black Widow, setting up the Thunderbolts.

Sebastian Stan will return as Bucky Barnes/ The Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/ U.S. Agent, David Harbour as Red Guardian, and Yelena Belova will reportedly be the leader of the team.

Surprisingly, during the event, another star will reprise her role from Black Widow, as Olga Kurylenko who plays the Taskmaster will be joining the roster, too, as reported by ComicBook.com.

Unfortunately, one of the stars that was first included in the roster of the Thunderbolts is reportedly dropped.

Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/ Ghost, as per the report of Giant Freakin Robot, will not be a part of the upcoming movie anymore but there was no reason as to why she was dropped.

Another possible addition could be an upcoming She-Hulk: Attorney At Law character, Roger Gocking's Porcupine who appeared in Daughters of the Dragon #3 in 2006 where he was the babysitter of Spider-Woman Jessica Drew's son, Gerry Drew.

Gocking formed part of the Thunderbolts, too, and if we're lucky, we'd see him in the upcoming movie as well.

Jameela Jamil who plays Titania on She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, said in an interview with ComicBook.com, "There's so much for the MCU. The Thunderbolts, there's so many places that Titania can exist in the MCU, because she's so messy and vile."

This seemingly hints that she sees Titania as part of the upcoming movie of the band of villains.

Given this set of characters, it can be inferred that the various Thunderbolts members are from different versions of the group in the comics.

[This article will be updated if there would be additional cast members.]

The Thunderbolts are expected to be a band of anti-heroes who will be gathering together for a mission making them good guys in the end. It's like the Avengers but their means are much more sinister.

In the comics, the Thunderbolts are led by a patriotic anonymous person, Citizen V, after the problem with Onslaught. At such a time, there were no Avengers nor Fantastic Four since they were gone without a trace.

They made themselves worthy to be recognized as the successors of the Avengers but their secret remains as dark as their intentions -- they are villains coming together to replace the heroes.

In the comics, Citizen V turns out to be Baron Zemo, and his friends, the Masters of Evil members, are among the Thunderbolts.

Baron Zemo's real intentions is that the Thunderbolts would have to gain the trust of the public then learn more about the superheroes, information they could sell to the criminals.

Later on, the villains just decided that it feels better being superheroes and they were loving the idea.

In various iterations of the group, the usual members are Luke Cage, General Thunderbolt Ross a.k.a. Red Hulk, Elektra, Punisher, and Venom. The Winter Soldier and Wilson Fisk also had his their very own, separate version of the Thunderbolts.

So far, in the MCU, Baron Zemo remains in the narrative and was last seen in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

In the same series, Contessa Val recruited John Walker who gave him the moniker of being the U.S. Agent.

In Black Widow, Contessa Val personally visited Yelena Belova while she was mourning over her sister's death and Contessa pointed to Hawkeye being the reason for Natasha's death.

Shang-Chi and The Legends of the Ten Rings gave a glimpse of Tim Roth's Abomination where Benedict Wong found him during the underground fight.

Abomination is not out in the cold yet with his arrival in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law where he has a refuge for small time and D-list heroes.

Yet to be back on screen is Ghost.

Other possible members of the team, though it may be far-fetched, are Bucky Barnes a.k.a. The Winter Soldier which is unlikely since his arc is leaning onto fully being a hero.

Alexei a.k.a. the Red Guardian who is the fake father of Natasha and Yelena; and the other one is the Taskmaster who has a surprise ending in Black Widow, could also be part of the team.
