A lot of us thought it would never happen again but Natalie Portman is on her way back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and this time around, she's been given a pretty substantial role in the Thor film franchise. In case you haven't heard yet, Portman is making her return as Jane Foster in Thor: Love and Thunder and not only that but she's also set to wield the Mjonir and become the female counterpart of the God of Thunder.
Naturally, fans are excited to see Jane back in the MCU and it turns out, director Taika Waititi is also ecstatic about Portman's anticipated return to the billion-dollar franchise. In fact, the Marvel director and star stunned everyone on Instagram after unveiling his brand new "Jane" tattoo, supposedly in honor of the returning actress.
Coincidentally, Jane also happens to be the name of Taika's dog who is included in the post but judging by his interaction with Chris Hemsworth's trainerĀ Luke Zocchi, it could very well be a little tribute to Jane Foster herself. Check it out here:

There's no denying that Taika reinvigorated the Thor franchise and I'm definitely excited to see what he has in store for Love and Thunder. As for Jane Foster, it's looking quite evident that Odinson's former flame will play a huge factor in the film and we might end up seeing a clash between the two ex-lovers. Now, that's something I would pay to see.
Meanwhile, Thor: Love and Thunder hits cinemas on July 8, 2022.
