The Wheel of Time Season 2 Release Date: When Will The Wheel of Time Season 2 Come Out?
The Wheel of Time Season 1 ended with a bang in Christmas of 2021 leaving many fans of the show on the edge of their seats for the next installment of the series. However, Amazon is yet to announce when The Wheel of Time Season 2 will air in the service.
When Will The Wheel of Time complete filming?
The series started filming in July 2021 and was projected to end by February 2022, but there have been reports that the series extended filming up to March. There have also been reports that The Wheel of Time director and executive producer Sanaa Hamri shares that the principal photography of the series will wrap up in March 2022, with shooting finally wrapping up around mid-May.
Though the series ends filming early, it is projected to launch in late 2022 to early 2023. Wondering why so late? Amazon's other hard-hitting series, The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, is set to premiere on September 2, 2022, on Prime Video. The Wheel of Time Season 2 Plot: What Will Happen in The Wheel of Time Season 2?
As with the first season, The Wheel of Time Season 2 will cover important story plot points from multiple novels in the original book stories. In an interview TVLine, Sander said:
Rafe has been a fantastic leader ā thoughtful, kind, really dedicated to trying to do this the right way ā and Rosamund as well. So we absolutely went into season 2 with a real conversation about, 'What can we do even better now that we have introduced this giant world and established these characters?' So I will predict that season 2 will be bigger, bolder, and a more expansive Wheel of Time.
The Wheel of Time Season 2 has a lot of loose ends it needs to tie up. Season 1 left us with questions about Rand, the Dragon Reborn, and his journey as he fulfills his destiny as the One Power who is fated to either destroy or save the world. Rand asks his friend, Moiraine, to tell everyone that he perished in his battle against the Dark One before forging on alone. Meanwhile, Moiraine and Lan's relationship shifts as Moiraine loses her connection to the Source and, consequently, the One Power. We may also see how the love triangle between Moiraine, Lan, and Nynaeve is explored.
Season 2 may also show us more about Perrin's wolfbrother powers. Fans will also be pleased to learn that Loial the Ogier is alive after the first season implied Padan Fain ended his life.
The Seanchan, the seafaring empire set to conquer The Wheel of Time's main continent, was introduced and teased in the last episode of Season 1. They may play a bigger role in the second season and significantly affect the course of the series.
