Last week, The Wheel of Time returned with its fourth episode and things are picking up, showing the show's true potential. The mystery of who amongst the characters is the Dragon Reborn sustains the series more competently than the book, according to some fans. Either way, we're keen to find out more!
With Moiraine healed and Logain no longer a threat, the Aes Sedai might once again turn their attentions on the young villagers from the Two Rivers. But with each of them having formed their own opinion about how they should proceed, we expect some interesting conflict soon.
Below you'll find all you need to know about The Wheel of Time Episode 5 including its release date, release time, and any other updates we have for the Amazon Prime original!
The Wheel of TimeĀ Episode 4 Recap
Warning: Episode 4 Spoilers Below
In Episode 4, the Aes Sedai heal Moiraine, but this isn't to say that they all like her, or trust her. When Moiraine's health improves, she's shown Logain, whom the Aes Sedai keep imprisoned. Some of them want to "gentle" him, that is permanently cripple his ability to use the One Power, but Moiraine insists that he should get a chance at a trial.
Egwene and Perrin join the Tinkers and learn more about their way of life, which they call "the way of the leaf." This includes never using violence in the form of weapons, among other principles.
Rand and Mat are still traveling with "gleeman" Thom. Desperate for shelter, they find lodging with a rural family. Due to Mat's suspicious behavior, which reminds him of his own nephew, Thom assumes that Mat can access the One Power. He, therefore, determines that he and Rand should keep Mat safe from the Aes Sedai, who would seek to "gentle" him. That night, a Fade kills the family who hosted Rand, Mat, and Thom. The latter distracts the Fade enough for the two young men to escape.
Logain's army arrives just as he displays uncontrollable power. Many Aes Sedai and their companions are injured or killed, and Lan's throat is slit. Nynaeve arrives at the scene, and, through an amazing display of power, heals Lan and the other injured. Loraine is then gentled by the Aes Sedai, as he's beyond saving.
Nynaeve's impressive power seems to fit the description of the Dragon Reborn - could that mean that she's also a candidate? Stay tuned to find out!
