The Walking Dead star Kelley Mack has passed away at the age of 33 in her hometown of Cincinnati following her battle with glioma of the central nervous system.
The actress is known for playing Adeline in the ninth season of The Walking Dead and has appeared in various TV shows, including Chicago Med and 9-1-1, and independent films such as the yet-to-be-released Universal.
How Did Kelley Mack's Family Announce the Passing of the Actress?
Mack's family officially announced the late actress' passing on her Instagram account. They called her a "bright, fervent light" and revealed that she was surrounded by her family when she died.
"It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go," Mack's family said in the statement.
"Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express."
Mack's sister added in the statement, "She would want you all to know how much she loves you. And as her sister, I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God. I’m so f***ing proud of her."
The family also shared the late actress's Caringbridge link in her bio that includes the two-page formal announcement with information on her upcoming life celebration in Ohio on August 16th.

Several of Mack's co-stars from The Walking Dead paid tribute to the actress in the comments of the Instagram post that announced her death.
